Further to my last entry, it would seem that stash-busting is the new favourite in my knitting life. I can actually say that I had a lot of fun rooting around my cupboards and boxes to find yarn-bits and scraps that would be ‘fitting’ for my project.
Of course here is the result:
The stripes were: “Silverlode” (grey) fingering weight yarn from Flamboyance, for the main colour and the contrast colours were whatever sock yarn I had leftover from past projects.
It was quite addictive to knit, because you found yourself hunting around your scrap yarn stash to see what colour would work next. I couldn’t seem to put it down! It was really enjoyable. I plan to do another.
